Four Options For Replacing A Missing Tooth
At Kewaskum Family Dentistry, we care about the health and well-being of our patients. We know that patients who have experienced tooth loss are more likely to feel self-conscious and even may have feelings of depression. We want to work with these patients to help them choose a tooth replacement option as soon as possible. Our goal is to listen to and answer any questions about each treatment option and guide our patients to a choice that is most beneficial to their lifestyle and budget. We want to ensure that you are comfortable and understand whichever process you choose.
Tooth Replacement Options
We offer a number of tooth replacement options such as:
This tooth replacement option is typically our number one recommendation for patients due to the permanent nature. It closely resembles the natural teeth and offers many long-term benefits. Although this option is the longest treatment, the results will last for many years if not the rest of your life.
We offer a number of different forms of dentures. Traditionally, dentures have been used as a tooth replacement option that was removable, and we still offer this option to patients. Dentures can be used to replace a full arch of teeth or just a portion of the teeth. There are also dentures that can be used in combination with implants to create a more permanent restoration.
This option is used to replace teeth that are severely damaged and decayed beyond repair. Crowns are also frequently used to complete dental implants, root canals and bridge work.
A dental bridge works by attaching artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth, known as abutment teeth. Patients can have fixed bridges and removable bridges.
