Do You Have TMD?
Do you regularly experience discomfort in your jaw and it is affecting your quality of life? If so, you may be suffering from a common condition called TMD, also known as temporomandibular joint disorder. Unfortunately, many adults are never diagnosed properly, and their condition and symptoms remain untreated. We never want our patients to live a life of discomfort. We are proud to treat our patients’ TMD symptoms. In fact, our team recently had the opportunity to attend a TMD and airway seminar to improve the level of care we are able to provide to you, our beloved patients. Continue reading to learn more about what we learned at the seminar and the importance of treating TMD.
Continuing Education to Bring You Better Care
Our dental team believes in attending continuing education opportunities to improve the level of treatments and care we are able to provide to our patients. Back in June, we had the opportunity to attend the BioRESEARCH Annual Conference in Milwaukee. We listened to some of the most experienced doctors, sports dentists, and researchers to learn more about TMD and the airway and how we can improve care to provide extremely successful treatments.
Importance of Receiving Treatment
Patients who suffer from TMD may experience symptoms such as jaw pain and discomfort, frequent headaches, difficulty chewing and swallowing, and a jaw that can feel stuck. Patients often comment that they struggle to eat and are not happy with their quality of life. If left untreated, TMD conditions can continue to worsen. Patients may also begin to experience issues with their dental health, such as broken or cracked teeth.
If you are experiencing symptoms related to TMD we can help determine the best treatment plan for you and your needs. Be sure to contact our office located in Kewaskum, WI to schedule an appointment. We can help you get the relief you may need.
