A dental sealant is a clear coating that is painted on the rear molars with particular attention to the deep grooves and lines on the biting surface. These sealants act like a protective shield helping to fend off decay and inhibit the development of cavities.
Who Can Benefit From Dental Sealants?
Many patients think that dental sealants are only for children, and that is simply not true. While it is more common for children to receive sealants during our care, we do recommend sealants to adults as well.
